  • Why choose Sweet Ginger Candle Co.?
    It's no secret that there are many candle companies from which to choose. With that in mind, we believe that Sweet Ginger Candle Co. is an exceptional choice as we go out of our way to use only natural, safe, and eco-friendly materials in the production of our products. We use a high-end, luxury coconut-apricot wax for all of our candles to bring you the cleanest, safest, and most enjoyable burn experience possible. Every formula has been carefully tested, every candle, wax melt, and fragrance mist hand poured, and every scent carefully curated and blended. And while these things increase our costs a bit, we know it's worth every penny! We are meticulous in our product preparation and packaging and are dedicated to exceptional customer service.   • How can I best care for my new candle?
    Candle care is not difficult, but there are a few things to keep in mind to maintain exceptional candle performance as well as ensure safety. Here are a few key ideas to keep in mind: Before Burning ~ Before burning your candle, trim the wick to about ¼ inch. This helps to ensure a slow, even burn and prevent flaring. ~ Avoid drafts, vents or air currents to prevent an uneven or rapid burn and soot production. ~ Enjoy your candle for 2-3 hours each burn session, allowing for an even burn. ~ Be sure to achieve a full melt pool every session to avoid tunneling. While Burning ~ Do not burn a candle while unattended or sleeping. ~ Do not touch or attempt to move a burning candle or a hot, but extinguished, candle while the wax is liquified. ~ Do not burn a candle to the bottom of the vessel. Instead, extinguish a candle when there is ¼ inch of wax left. Failure to do so may cause the vessel to break or damage the surface on which it sits. ~ When burning more than one candle, space them at least three inches apart from one another to avoid creating a draft. ~ If the flame becomes too high or flickers repeatedly, extinguish the candle, let the candle cool, trim the wick, and check for unwanted drafts before relighting. ~ Do not burn a candle on or near anything flammable. This includes furniture, drapes, bedding, carpets, books, paper, flammable decorations, etc. ~ Keep candles away from children and pets. Take care not to place lit candles where they might be knocked over. When Extinguishing ~ If available, use a candle snuffer to extinguish. ~ Never use water to extinguish a candle as this may cause hot wax to splatter and may break the vessel. ~ Make sure your candle is completely extinguished before leaving it unattended. ~ Avoid moving a candle until it has cooled completely and has solidified.   • Do candles benefit our health? Why are they so trendy right now?
    Candles can absolutely have very beneficial effects on our health, and there’s a plethora of research out there to prove it! Candles and the scents they put forth can energize you or, conversely, bring a sense of calm, relaxation, and peace; and so much more. Through the study of aromachology, we can better understand the influence of various scents on peoples’ physical, mental, and emotional states and create products around that research. And why are they so trendy? Because they're awesome, that's why!   • How quickly will my order arrive?
    Once an order is received, it will leave our location within two business days. Most shipping options available, within the U.S., estimate delivery between 1-3 business days. Therefore, you can expect your package generally between 3-5 business days, depending on the shipping option you select. In the rare chance your order cannot be fulfilled within these time frames, we will be sure to communicate this to you right away.   • My favorite item is sold out! When will I be able to get it again?
    From time to time, popular items will sell out. Please be assured that we keep a constant eye on inventory and will restock items as quickly as possible. If we intend to discontinue an item temporarily or permanently, we will inform you of such decision on the product listing page. We know what it's like to crave a favorite, so we promise to work diligently to keep all products in stock and ready for quick shipment.   • Can I place a custom or a bulk order?
    At this time, custom and/or bulk orders will be considered on a case by case basis. Please send inquiries for these types of orders to aimee@sweetgingercandles.com or call (385) 381-1311.
  • Can I return a product once I've received it? How about a candle after it has been burned?
    If you have purchased a product and it was damaged in transit, it will be replaced or the value refunded based on your preference (photo proof will likely be required). We pride ourselves on our level of quality control throughout production and packaging, however, in the rare event that a product is defective a return process can be initiated by contacting aimee@sweetgingercandles.com All other reasons for returns, refunds, or exchanges will be considered, but the customer will be responsible for shipping. Please see our Shipping & Returns Policy for more information. Burned candles are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund. Our ultimate goal is your satisfaction, so please don't hesitate to reach out with any concerns you may have. We will do everything in our power to address your concerns fully.
